Pacific Clinics seeks a crisis response clinician to join the Mobile Mental Health Evaluation Team. You will work on crisis calls, provide stabilization, and coordinate with law enforcement as needed. The role requires shift-based hours, including weekends, under an AWS model.

The position emphasizes de-escalation, risk assessment, and collaboration with CSU and community partners to deliver timely mental health support and safety planning.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED with 1 year relevant experience (2 years equals 1 year of education).
  • Speak/read/write another language may be required by some programs.
  • If program requires, pass an initial physical abilities test and crisis intervention certification within 30 days.

Responsibilities

  • Support crisis hotline by gathering information, stabilizing callers and identifying needs.
  • Participate in crisis assessment and de-escalation for adults or youth.
  • Assist with involuntary psychiatric holds under Lanterman Petris Short laws and regulations.
  • Provide direct mental health services, document per MediCal regulations and meet productivity expectations.
  • Engage family members and supports with psychoeducation on de-escalation strategies.
  • Facilitate transport of individuals on 5150 holds to accepting hospitals or CSU facilities and ensure client safety.
  • Identify triggers and psychosocial factors to develop risk management and safety plans.
  • Provide community referrals for additional identified social services.
