Coleman Health Services in Chillicothe, Ohio is hiring a Crisis Counselor to provide crisis intervention, triage, and brief counseling to adults and families across Highland, Ross, Pickaway, Fayette, and Pike Counties. The role includes mobile crisis outreach and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to link clients with appropriate care.

The position requires a Master’s in social work or counseling, Ohio licensure (LSW/MSW/LISW/LPC/LPCC), and a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• Master's in social work, counseling, or related field required.
• Current Ohio licensure (LSW/MSW/LISW/LPC/LPCC) required.
• Must have and maintain an excellent driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide crisis intervention, assessment, safety planning, brief counseling, and follow-up services to adults and families in crisis.
• Complete crisis assessments and support EMS/Police bring-ins; travel to respond to crises in the community.
• Travel throughout Highland, Ross, Pickaway, Fayette, and Pike Counties to provide mobile crisis services.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to connect clients with inpatient/outpatient care.
• Determine need for higher level of care and coordinate referrals to hospitals and resources.
• Track data for mental health boards and state requirements.
• Complete training to become a community health officer.
