CRISIS PREPARATION AND RECOVERY INC. seeks a Crisis Counselor for Hospital Rapid Response in Tempe, AZ. The role requires on‑site crisis intervention, rapid assessment, and coordination with hospital teams.

Travel to client sites is required; the shift pattern includes three 12‑hour shifts with monthly adjustments. A licensed clinician with post‑master’s experience is essential for providing immediate crisis intervention and care coordination.

Qualifications

• Ability to assess and provide immediate crisis intervention services.
• Determine client’s appropriate level of care.
• Correctly assess clients with mental health disorders, substance abuse, and/or suicidal/homicidal behavior.
• Current, unrestricted license issued by the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners (LCSW, LMSW, LPC, LAC).

Responsibilities

• Complete a thorough crisis assessment and recommend appropriate level of care.
• Document in the electronic medical records system.
• Respond promptly to requests from physicians, nurses, or hospital staff.
• Coordinate and/or facilitate placement services with the CPR Care Team.
• Provide follow‑up care to clients and providers.
• Travel to the client location for crisis intervention.
• Maintain on‑site response within standard time limits.
• Attend regular staff meetings.
• Assist with training of new Crisis counselors.
• Attend and testify in mental health court as required.
• Other duties as assigned.
