Job summary

Alaska Behavioral Health is seeking a Clinician for the Anchorage Mobile Crisis Team. This on-call, full-time professional role focuses on rapid crisis assessment and intervention within the Anchorage area.

The successful candidate will hold a master’s degree in a related field and be licensed or eligible for Alaska licensure, with experience in mental health crisis services and strong collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams. Competitive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field.
• Licensed in Alaska or eligible for licensure within two years.
• 1 year (full-time) or equivalent post-graduate experience with adults with severe mental disorders.
• Additional six months (full-time) experience providing professional mental health services to a population with identified mental disorders.
• Personal transportation with a clean 5-year driving record and Alaska vehicle insurance.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate access to voluntary or involuntary psychiatric hospital care.
• Inform on-call clinician of crisis intervention results and client status.
• Evaluate crisis situations promptly and provide necessary services.
• Coordinate with referring physicians, hospital clinicians, attending psychiatrists, or case managers.
