Job summary

Bluebonnet Trails Community Services seeks a Crisis Clinician to join its MCOT team. The role involves rapid field response to behavioral health crises at homes, schools, ERs, or BTCS clinics, delivering de-escalation, safety planning, crisis intervention, and referrals to appropriate care.

The clinician will work with children, adolescents, and adults, coordinate with families and first responders, document services in electronic records, and participate in on-call rotations with a daily

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field with relevant case management experience.
• Minimum two years of case management experience.
• Valid Texas driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provides empathetic active listening and de-escalation.
• Engages in person-centered safety planning, utilizing critical thinking and solution-focused problem solving.
• Ensures crisis follow-up and relapse prevention occurs, providing support once the crisis has resolved.
• Communicate effectively with people and families from diverse cultures and socio-economic backgrounds.
• Facilities and coordinates placement.
• Partners with families, first responders, schools, hospitals, and community agencies.
• Demonstrates skills and expertise using integrated computer database programs to access files and document services.
• Ability to work independently, collaboratively within a team and adapt to a rotating schedule.
• Assumes rotating on-call responsibilities, including after-hours, weekends, and holidays with a daily stipend.
• Cross-trains to support crisis programs including Diversion Center, Adult Crisis Respite, Youth Therapeutic Respite, and 911 Dispatch.
