Job summary

TNT Crane & Rigging in Houston, TX seeks a full-time Crane Mechanic specialized in hydraulic mobile cranes to perform inspections, repairs, and maintenance on all-terrain and boom trucks. The role requires experience with electrical and hydraulic systems and the ability to read manuals and drawings to ensure OEM specs.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, at least three years of crane mechanic experience, CANBUS/PAT/ECOS/CCS/LICCON knowledge, and the ability to work independently

Qualifications

• Be able to perform inspections, diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of various hydraulic mobile cranes including all terrain, rough terrain, boom trucks, etc.
• Must have experience as a mechanic with electrical and hydraulics in modern crane technology.
• Demonstrate working knowledge of CANBUS, PAT, ECOS, CCS, and LICCON systems.
• High School Diploma or GED
• At least 3 years' crane mechanic experience in automotive, trucking or heavy equipment environment; or equivalent education/experience.
• Reads and understands operating, parts manuals, and technical drawings.
• Tests mechanical, electronic, electrical, and hydraulic products after repair to ensure OEM specs and DOT rules compliance.
• Capable of working independently without direct supervision.
• Observe and maintain safety requirements on all equipment.
• Maintain reports, timesheets, work orders, expense reports, etc.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends.
• Valid driver's license with clean record; TWIC card or ability to obtain TWIC.

Qualifications

• Be able to perform inspections, diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of various hydraulic mobile cranes including all terrain, rough terrain, boom trucks, etc.
• Must have experience as a mechanic with electrical and hydraulics in modern crane technology.
• Demonstrate working knowledge of CANBUS, PAT, ECOS, CCS, and LICCON systems.
• High School Diploma or GED
• At least (3) years' experience as a crane mechanic in an automotive, trucking or heavy equipment environment, or any equivalent combination of education and experience is a plus.
• Reads and understand operating, parts manuals, and technical drawings.
• Tests mechanical, electronic, electrical, and hydraulic products and equipment after repair or modifications to ensure proper operation and compliance with OEM specifications, as well as all DOT rules and regulations.
• Capable of accomplishing tasks independently without direct supervision
• Observe and maintain all equipment according to all safety requirements.
• Properly maintain all reports, (times sheets, work orders, expense reports, etc.)
• Ability to work overtime as well as on weekends.
• Possess valid driver's license, clean driving record, and have a TWIC card or be able to readily acquire TWIC card.
• Ability to safely lift over 40 lbs.
