Job summary

TNT Crane & Rigging, Inc. in Houston, TX is seeking an experienced crane mechanic to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain a range of hydraulic mobile cranes. You will work with electrical and hydraulic systems, read manuals and drawings, and ensure DOT compliance.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of crane mechanic experience, a valid driver’s license, and a TWIC card or ability to obtain one. Overtime and weekend work may be required as needed.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years crane mechanic experience in automotive, trucking, or heavy equipment environment.
• Ability to read operating, parts manuals, and technical drawings.
• Tests mechanical, electronic, electrical, and hydraulic products after repair to OEM specs and DOT rules.
• Capable of working independently without direct supervision.
• Maintain safety compliance and proper reports (timesheets, work orders, etc.).
• TWIC card or ability to obtain TWIC and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain hydraulic mobile cranes (including all terrain, rough terrain, boom trucks).
• Test equipment after repairs to ensure proper operation and DOT compliance.
• Read and follow manuals and drawings to perform maintenance accurately.
• Maintain reports and complete timesheets, work orders, and expense reports.
• Work overtime and weekends when required.
