Department of Family and Protective Services in Texas seeks a CPI Investigator I to join our mobile, field-based team. You will respond to reports of child abuse or neglect, conduct investigations, interview families and professionals, and maintain detailed documentation while traveling across the state to various locations.

The role requires flexible hours, strong judgment, and the ability to handle emotionally challenging situations in diverse settings.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree or higher; or 60 credits with 2 years relevant experience.
• 2 years relevant work in social, human, or protective services.
• Ability to travel up to 60% of the time.
• Strong interviewing, documentation, and reporting skills.

Responsabilidades

• Responds quickly in crisis situations involving children.
• Conducts forensic investigations of reports of abuse/neglect to determine if abuse occurred.
• Interviews people in the case such as parents, caregivers, and other stakeholders.
• Maintains thorough case documentation and timely reporting.
• Travel across state to homes, schools, hospitals, and offices.
