Talin Home Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our dynamic team. Working under the supervision of a licensed OT, you will provide high-quality care to patients across pediatrics, outpatient services, skilled nursing facilities, and acute care settings.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology, and experience developing and implementing care plans to improve patients' functional abilities.

Qualifications

• Certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program.
• Knowledge of medical terminology related to occupational therapy practices.
• Experience or familiarity with home healthcare, outpatient therapy, skilled nursing facilities, or acute care settings is preferred.
• Strong understanding of anatomy and physiology relevant to therapeutic practices.
• Ability to implement effective care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Compassionate demeanor with a commitment to providing quality patient-centered care.

Responsabilités

• Assist in the implementation of individualized treatment plans as directed by the Occupational Therapist.
• Provide therapeutic interventions to patients focusing on Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) to promote independence.
• Conduct assessments and document patient progress in accordance with established protocols.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Educate patients and their families about treatment goals and strategies for home exercises.
• Maintain accurate records of patient treatments, progress notes, and any changes in condition.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
