Job summary

Pennsy Supply, a CRH Company, is seeking a Concrete Plant Operator to prepare and mix high quality concrete for diverse projects. A solid understanding of concrete properties, batching processes, and safety regulations is essential.

You will operate plants safely, batch loads per design specifications, perform routine maintenance, keep daily logs, coordinate deliveries, and ensure products meet quality standards. Team oriented with flexibility for varied shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Previous concrete experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operation of various concrete plants in a safe and efficient manner.
• Responsible for batching concrete loads according to mix designs and specifications.
• Maintenance of the plants by cleaning and greasing on a set schedule.
• Keep a detailed log of all plant activities each day.
• Coordinate tanker delivery, concrete dispatch, operations, and other tasks to ensure smooth operation.
• Ensure all products produced meet or exceed customers’ expectations regarding quality and service.
• Order all materials daily for production.
• Perform general laboring duties as necessary.
• Safely operate various equipment as needed.
• Work in a team environment and assist co‑workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Operation of various concrete plants in a safe and efficient manner.
• Responsible for batching concrete loads according to mix designs and specifications.
• Maintenance of the plants by cleaning and greasing on a set schedule.
• Keep a detailed log of all plant activities each day.
• Coordinate tanker delivery, concrete dispatch, operations, and other tasks to ensure smooth operation.
• Ensure all products produced meet or exceed customers’ expectations regarding quality and service.
• Order all materials daily for production.
• Perform general laboring duties as necessary.
• Safely operate various equipment as needed.
• Work in a team environment and assist co‑workers or supervisors with other duties as required.

Requirements

• Must submit to a drug screen and criminal background check.
• Able to work various times during day, night or weekend hours, at various locations.

Education/Experience

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Previous concrete experience preferred but not required.
