Job summary

B&B Concrete Contractors is seeking a Commercial Concrete Finisher to perform carpentry tasks for preparing, pouring, placing, and finishing concrete in varied structures in Texas. You will build and set forms, verify elevations, and assist with concrete placement while maintaining safety standards.

Ideal applicants read drawings, have form-building experience, and can work with Symon forms. The role emphasizes accuracy, teamwork, and on-site communication with the Foreman and Project Manager.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand drawings and prints.
• Build and/or assemble wood or metal forms for concrete floors, slabs, walls, columns, tilt-walls, etc.
• Set and place forms to proper elevations and locations; may aid in reinforcing steel.
• Set and erect forms using a variety of materials and forming systems, primarily Symon forms.
• Verify accuracy of structures using plumb bob, level, laser, or transit.
• Erect scaffolding and ladders for above-ground work.
• Communicate with Foreman, Riding Boss, or Project Manager about problems, materials, or safety hazards.
• Ensure equipment is in safe working condition.
• Assist with placement of concrete as needed.
• Observe safety policies and guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Read prints and follow drawings for form setup and placement.
• Build and assemble wood or metal forms for concrete elements.
• Set forms to elevations; assist with reinforcing steel as needed.
• Erect forms with Symon and other form systems.
• Check accuracy with plumb, level, laser, or transit.
• Raise scaffolds and ladders to access elevated areas.
• Communicate issues to supervisors and coordinate material needs.
• Maintain safe equipment operation and housekeeping on site.
• Assist with concrete placement and finishing tasks as required.
