Job summary

B&B Concrete Contractors is seeking a Commercial Concrete Finisher to perform carpentry tasks for prepping, pouring, placing and finishing concrete. You will erect and set wood or metal forms for foundations, floors, walls, tilt-walls, columns and other cast-in-place structures per drawings.

Responsibilities include reading drawings, building forms, placing forms at proper elevations, and verifying accuracy with plumb bob, level, laser or transit.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand drawings and prints.
• Experience in constructing wood or metal forms for concrete.
• Set and place forms to proper elevations and locations.
• Set and erect forms using a wide variety of materials and forming systems, primarily symon forms.
• Verify accuracy of structures using a plumb bob, carpenters level, laser and/or digital transit.
• Communicate with Foreman, Riding Boss, or Project Manager regarding any problems arising, materials required, or any safety hazards identified.
• Ensure equipment is all in safe working condition.
• Assist with placement of concrete as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret drawings and prints.
• Build and assemble forms for concrete floors, slabs, walls, columns, tilt-walls, elevated slabs, elevator cores, stairs, etc.
• Set and place forms to elevations and locations; aid in reinforcing steel placement.
• Set and erect forms using various materials and forming systems, primarily Symon forms.
• Verify accuracy with plumb bob, level, laser or digital transit.
• Erect scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures.
• Coordinate with Foreman or Project Manager on issues, material needs and safety hazards.
• Ensure all equipment is safe and operational.
• Assist with concrete placement as needed.
