Job summary

tdgFacilities is seeking a full-time Mobile Commercial Electrician - Low Voltage Specialist in the Cincinnati area. You will install, service, and troubleshoot low-voltage building systems including HVAC controls, BAS, access control, CCTV, and related technologies.

The role requires formal electrical/low-voltage training, 3+ years experience, and a valid driver’s license. Expect a Monday–Friday schedule with on-call rotation and a company vehicle for service delivery.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in HVAC controls, BAS, access control, CCTV, or related low-voltage systems.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, troubleshoot, and service HVAC control systems and BAS.
• Perform startup, commissioning, testing, and verification of new controls.
• Install and service access control, door hardware, readers, electric strikes, and locks.
• Install and service CCTV systems, NVRs/DVRs, and surveillance equipment.
• Manage wiring: CAT5e/CAT6, fiber, and control wiring.
• Read blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Diagnose and repair system failures and network issues.
• Maintain service records and safety compliance.

Position Summary

As a Full-Time Mobile Commercial Electrician - Low Voltage Specialist in the Greater Cincinnati area, you will be responsible for the installation, service, maintenance, troubleshooting, and commissioning of low voltage building systems. This position supports HVAC controls, Building Automation Systems (BAS), access control systems, security camera systems (CCTV), and other integrated low voltage technologies.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Install, program, troubleshoot, and service HVAC control systems and Building Automation Systems (BAS).
• Perform startup, commissioning, testing, and verification of newly installed controls and low voltage equipment.
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot access control systems, door hardware, card readers, electric strikes, and magnetic locks.
• Install and service security camera systems, NVRs, DVRs, and related surveillance equipment.
• Run, terminate, label, and test CAT5e, CAT6, fiber optic, and control wiring.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and project drawings.
• Diagnose and repair system failures, communication issues, hardware malfunctions, and network connectivity problems.
• Provide preventative maintenance and routine inspections of installed systems.
• Maintain accurate service documentation and customer records.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, codes, and company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Formally trained in electrical/low voltage applications
• 3+ years of experience in HVAC controls, BAS, access control, CCTV, or related low voltage systems preferred.
• Knowledge of BACnet, Modbus, IP networking, and building automation protocols a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, work in mechanical rooms, construction sites, and occupied facilities, with frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
