Job summary

Circle the City is a rapidly growing nonprofit providing holistic health care to people experiencing homelessness in Maricopa County. The Medical Coordinator ensures continuity of client care, supports the clinical team, coordinates transport, and assists with examinations under physician or nurse manager supervision.

This safety-sensitive role requires clinical collaboration, accurate data entry, and patient-centered care, including vitals, basic wound care, and referrals.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Medical Assistant program, and/or alternate allied health training program deemed appropriate by leadership.
• Minimum of one year of related experience in clinical or healthcare settings.
• Able to obtain vital signs accurately.
• Proficient in reading and writing English.
• Bi-lingual communicative skills preferred.
• Requires a current Arizona state driver's license.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with clinical support team each shift to determine work assignments and priorities.
• Maintains timely verbal communication to ensure good care of patients.
• Collects, verifies, and enters patient data into the database.
• Preserves patient confidentiality, rights, and dignity.
• Assists with inventory and stock of supplies.
• Triages calls and provides phone coverage when needed.
• Willingness to perform medical assistant duties at mobile clinic sites.
• Drives the Mobile Medical Unit and transports patients to labs, imaging, or appointments.
• Performs other duties as required.
