Job summary

Prism Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinical care at mobile vaccination events in Chicago. You will obtain vitals, perform screenings, administer vaccines, and educate patients on follow-up and resources.

You will drive a large high-roof mobile clinic van, set up vaccination and screening stations, manage supplies, and assist with patient flow and event logistics.

Spanish speaking is a strong plus; a valid driver’s license and CPR/BLS certification are preferred for this role.

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant experience required.
• Experience administering vaccines required.
• Experience performing point-of-care testing and health screenings preferred.
• Experience with HIV/Hepatitis C rapid testing strongly preferred.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Must be comfortable driving a large/high-roof van.
• Spanish-speaking ability strongly preferred.
• BLS/CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain blood pressure, vital signs, and patient intake information.
• Administer vaccines under clinical supervision.
• Perform rapid HIV and Hepatitis C testing and screenings.
• Educate patients on screenings, results, and follow-up.
• Assist with phlebotomy and specimen collection.
• Review patient records and assist with documentation.
• Set up, drive, and operate the mobile clinic for events.
• Load/unload equipment and manage inventory.
• Ensure HIPAA and safety protocols are followed.
