Job summary

Nebraska Community Blood Bank seeks a CDL-driver to support mobile blood drives across Nebraska. The role ensures safe, on-time vehicle delivery, greets sponsors, and assists with donor processing and unit handling.

The position requires a high school diploma, a valid CDL (A/B with airbrakes), and a current DOT medical card. Responsibilities include pre-trip inspections, on-drive setup, and completing DOT logs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• CDL (Class A or B with Airbrakes) is required.
• Current Medical Card / ability to pass a DOT Physical.
• Excellent driving record with no major violations in 3 years.
• 2 years driving trucks, buses, coaches, or larger vehicles preferred.
• Customer service experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, transport, unload, load and return vehicles for blood drives.
• Perform pre-trip inspections and end-of-drive logs.
• Greet sponsors and donors, assist with drive setup and unloading.
• Maintain interdepartmental communication and participate in team meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned, such as vehicle cleaning.
