Arlington County's Department of Human Services (DHS) seeks a Licensed Behavioral Health Therapist for the Mobile Outreach Support Team (MOST). The role conducts mental health assessments, crisis intervention, stabilization, and short-term counseling in the community, linking individuals to services as needed.

The position collaborates with police and first responders to divert from arrest or hospitalization when appropriate.

Qualifications

• Licensed Behavioral Health Therapist
• Licensure must be earned within three years of hire

Responsibilities

• Conduct welfare checks and partner with police and first responders to divert people from arrest and/or hospitalization when appropriate.
• Provide crisis intervention, stabilization, and short-term counseling in the community.
• Identify resources and link individuals to services as needed.
