Job summary

AAA Club Alliance is hiring a Battery and Light Service Technician to provide mobile battery services, diagnostics, and installs for members on the road. The role requires completing precise guidelines, strong safety awareness, and excellent customer interaction.

You will work outside in various weather conditions, earn a base rate starting at $23.65/hour, and have access to paid training, 401(k) with company match, PTO, holidays, tuition reimbursement, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record and the ability to operate passenger vehicles and trucks with automatic and manual transmissions.
• Must have ability to pass a physical examination on a bi-annual basis as required by DOT and/or Company policy.
• 3 years of experience in automotive/mechanical environment, or technical school or a minimum of 3 years of experience in a sales and/or customer service role is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide mobile battery services using established guidelines and quality control procedures.
• Perform diagnostic tests and recommend solutions including sales of batteries and installations in various types of vehicles.
• Keep abreast of battery options and sales techniques.
• May need to provide lock-out, fuel delivery, battery jump starts, and tire change services using established guidelines and quality control procedures.
• Communicate with members effectively to keep them informed and to ensure their safety.
• Make sound decisions regarding the safe service of vehicles and to accommodate member needs.
• Enter call information accurately into in-truck technology, process payments, handle cash and complete reports as required.
• Conduct vehicle and equipment inspections, ensure that all are in safe operating condition and that all requirements are met.
• Ensure that the fleet vehicle and all equipment are adequately secured at all times, including when the vehicle is not in use.
• Other duties as assigned.
