Job summary

McCandless Ford Meadville is seeking a customer-oriented Mobile Service Technician to operate a service van and perform automotive maintenance on the go. You will prepare for daily appointments, complete accurate work orders, and maintain high-quality workmanship per dealership standards.

You will communicate with customers and the Service Advisor, provide time estimates, and stay current with new automotive tech through ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Prior automotive technician & customer service experience required.
• Travel around the area in the Mobile Service Vehicle is required all year round.
• Possess Excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Bring a positive, upbeat attitude to this role and be completely comfortable with customers.
• Excellent follow-up and follow-through skills to ensure client satisfaction.
• Must have the ability to communicate technical information in non-technical terms.
• Ability to evolve and adapt to changing business needs.
• Must adhere to safety procedures.
• Must be able to work overtime and/or Saturdays as needed.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Operate Mobile Service vehicle professionally and keep unit clean and stocked.
• Prepare vehicle with needed parts for that day's appointments.
• Complete work orders and written materials accurately per procedures.
• Perform quality work in line with dealership and factory standards.
• Learn new technical information in training sessions to stay updated.
• Provide accurate cost estimates for labor and parts for maintenance upsell.
• Test-drive vehicles and diagnose systems using tools and equipment.
• Communicate with Service Advisor when additional repairs are needed.
