Job Overview

Mobile Associates, Store-in-Store, are vital members of the Retail Team, responsible for bringing the T-Mobile brand to life within National Sales partner locations. They engage actively with customers, creating energy and excitement around our products and services. They thrive in high-traffic environments, continuously evolving with technology innovations, customer needs, and the retail experience. They excel at building relationships through meaningful interactions, identifying customer needs, and educating, demonstrating, and recommending solutions. Mobile Associates are expected to exceed performance targets by doing things the right way—selling effectively, providing exceptional customer experiences, and meeting quality metrics.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Customer Engagement: Proactively engage with a broad range of customers in a busy retail environment, using digital tools to educate and showcase the value of T-Mobile solutions.
  2. Solution Selling: Leverage digital self-serve tools, identify customer needs, and demonstrate the value of our products and services, including onboarding solutions and the T-Mobile app.
  3. Training & Knowledge: Complete training on store experience, products, and systems. Continuously update knowledge through resources like the Hub to ensure readiness. Support store operations, including opening, closing, and securing assets.
  4. Customer Service: Build rapport and trust with customers, proactively follow up, manage referrals, and perform price overrides for special offers.
  5. Relationship Building: Collaborate with nearby teams and leadership to support the customer experience from account setup to device support and account servicing.
Education and Work Experience
  • High School Diploma/GED (Required)
  • 6 months of customer service and/or sales experience, retail preferred (Required)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Customer Satisfaction: Passionate advocate, able to connect authentically with customers, balancing experience and performance.
  • Team Building: Willing to collaborate, learn, and share best practices within the team.
  • Retail Sales: Competitive drive, confidence, and ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment.
Licenses and Certifications
  • At least 18 years old
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
Additional Details

Travel: No
DOT Regulated: No
Hourly Pay: $17.50/hr + $5.00/hr training pay. During the first 90 days, training pay applies. After promotion, eligible for annual incentives of approximately $18,000/year, with guaranteed minimum earnings of $20/hour including incentives. All employees are eligible for an annual stock grant.
