Job Overview

Mobile Associates, Store-in-Store are an integral part of the Retail Team responsible for bringing the T-Mobile brand to life within National Sales partner locations, where active customer engagement is crucial for success. They're ambassadors who create energy and excitement around our products and services. They are obsessed with the connected world and thrive in a high-traffic environment, where technology innovations, customer needs and the Retail experience are continuously evolving. Mobile Associates excel at building and deepening relationships with customers through meaningful interactions. They are skilled at identifying customer needs and are passionate about educating, demonstrating, and recommending solutions. Mobile Associate SiS, exceed their performance targets by doing it the right way, excelling in sales, providing exceptional customer experiences, and meeting quality of sale metrics.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Proactively engages with a broad range of customers in a highly-traffic retail environment. Uses digital tools, communicates effectively, educates customers, and showcases the value of T-Mobile solutions.
  2. Leverages digital self-serve tools during customer interactions and onboarding. Identifies customer needs and uses solution-based selling techniques to demonstrate the value of T-Mobile products and services, including guiding customers on how to self-serve and use the T-Mobile app for wireless needs.
  3. Completes training on the in-store experience, new skills, products, processes, systems, and reference resources. Reviews personal results, current promotions, and updates on the Hub to stay customer-ready. Continuously learns to improve skills and provides the best customer experience. Partners with nearby stores for customer onboarding, performs skills practice, knowledge sharing, and store operations including opening and closing procedures, securing kiosks and assets, and reporting lost keys or assets.
  4. Is customer-obsessed—passionate, friendly, engaging. Connects on a personal level, builds rapport, trust, and loyalty. Committed to exceeding customer expectations, proactively reaches out to potential customers, manages follow-ups, captures referrals, and builds relationships with new and existing customers. Performs price overrides for specific offers as needed.
  5. Builds relationships with store leadership and teams to support the customer experience from account setup to device support and account servicing.
Education and Work Experience
  • High School Diploma/GED (Required)
  • 6 months of customer service and/or sales experience, retail preferred (Required)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Customer satisfaction: passionate advocate, effective at balancing experience and performance (Required)
  • Team building: willingness to collaborate, learn, and share best practices (Required)
  • Retail sales: competitive drive, confidence, success in fast-paced sales environment (Required)
Licenses and Certifications
  • At least 18 years old
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Pay and Benefits

Hourly base pay: $17.50. During the first 90 days, receive training and eligibility for incentive pay. After training, promotion to Mobile Expert with an annual incentive target of $18,000. All employees guaranteed $20/hour including incentives. Eligible for annual stock grants. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), stock plans, paid time off, holidays, parental leave, family benefits, tuition assistance, disability, voluntary insurance, and discounts.
