Job Overview

Mobile Associates, Store-in-Store are an integral part of the Retail Team responsible for bringing the T-Mobile brand to life within National Sales partner locations, where active customer engagement is crucial for success. They are ambassadors who create energy and excitement around our products and services. They thrive in a high-traffic environment, are obsessed with the connected world, and excel at building and deepening relationships with customers through meaningful interactions. They are passionate about educating, demonstrating, and recommending solutions to meet customer needs. Mobile Associates aim to exceed their performance targets by excelling in sales, providing exceptional customer experiences, and meeting quality of sale metrics.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Proactively engage with a broad range of customers in a highly-traffic retail environment, using digital tools, communicating effectively, educating customers, and showcasing the value of T-Mobile solutions.
  2. Leverage digital self-serve tools during customer interactions and onboarding, identify customer needs, and use solution-based selling techniques to demonstrate the value of T-Mobile products and services. Recommend wireless solutions and onboarding options to help customers understand how to self-serve and utilize the T-Mobile app, deepening relationships and ensuring satisfaction.
  3. Complete training on the in-store experience, new skills, products, processes, and system knowledge. Review personal results, promotions, and updates to stay customer-ready. Continuously learn and improve skills. Partner with nearby stores for customer onboarding. Perform store operations including opening/closing procedures, securing kiosks, and reporting lost keys or assets.
  4. Be customer-obsessed—passionate, friendly, engaging, and able to connect on a personal level. Build rapport, trust, and loyalty with every interaction. Proactively reach out to potential customers, follow up, capture referrals, manage Be Back processes, and build relationships with new and existing customers. Have the ability to perform price overrides for specialty offers.
  5. Build relationships with nearby leadership and teams to support the customer experience from account setup to device support and account servicing.
Education
  • High School Diploma/GED (Required)
Work Experience
  • At least 6 months of customer service and/or sales experience, retail environment preferred (Required)

  • Customer Satisfaction: Passionate about customer advocacy, able to balance customer experience with performance goals (Required)
  • Team Building: Willing to learn and share best practices with peers and store leaders (Required)
  • Retail Sales: Competitive drive and confidence in a fast-paced sales environment (Required)

Pay and Benefits

Hourly Base Pay: $17.50

Within the first 90 days, Mobile Associates receive on-the-job training and are eligible for incentive pay while completing training milestones. Afterward, they can promote to Mobile Expert with an annual incentive target of $18,000, depending on performance. All employees are guaranteed to earn $20/hour including base pay and incentives. Additionally, every employee is eligible for an Annual Stock Grant.
