Job Overview

Mobile Associates (MA) work as part of a Retail Team of Experts to bring the T-Mobile brand to life. They are brand ambassadors who generate energy and excitement around our products and services. They are passionate about the connected world and thrive in a fast-paced environment, where technology innovations, customer needs, and the retail experience are constantly evolving. They build meaningful connections with customers, deepening relationships and uncovering needs to recommend device and service solutions. This role is a learning position, where new associates work with their team, develop skills, and prepare for advancement to Mobile Expert. Successful completion of new employee training is required.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Build proficiency in serving and selling to customers, providing a world-class experience and building loyalty by:
  • Helping customers continue their shopping journey online, via Customer Care, or in-store.
  • Exploring individual needs and demonstrating the latest technology.
  • Selling personalized solutions, including accessories and IoT devices.
  • Approaching customer interactions with integrity, compassion, and professionalism.
  • Become skilled with digital tools to:
    • Show coverage maps and explain LTE network benefits.
    • Describe T-Mobile plans and services to promote customer satisfaction.
    • Complete training on in-store experience, systems, and resources.
    • Utilize downtime for learning about wireless innovations.
  • Establish relationships with other T-Mobile employees to:
    • Own the customer experience and resolve issues seamlessly.
    • Identify and refer small business leads.
    • Support team initiatives and foster an inclusive environment.
    Education and Work Experience
    • High School Diploma/GED (Required)
    • 6 months of customer service and/or sales experience, retail preferred (Required)
    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
    • Passionate customer advocate who enjoys connecting and having fun (Required)
    • Competitive drive with success in a fast-paced sales environment (Required)
    • Willingness to collaborate, learn, and resolve customer issues (Required)
    • Ability to balance customer needs and performance goals (Required)
    Licenses and Certifications
    • At least 18 years old
    • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.

    Position is not DOT regulated or safety-sensitive.

    Compensation

    Hourly base pay is $17.50. During the first 90 days, associates receive training and are eligible for incentives. Post-training, promotion to Mobile Expert offers an annual incentive target of $18,000, with guaranteed minimum earnings of $20/hour including incentives. All employees are eligible for annual stock grants.
