Job Overview

Mobile Associates (MA) work as part of a Retail Team of Experts to bring the T-Mobile brand to life. They act as brand ambassadors, building energy and excitement around our products and services. Passionate about the connected world, they thrive in a fast-paced environment where technology innovations, customer needs, and the retail experience are constantly evolving. They focus on building strong connections with customers, uncovering their needs, and educating them on device and service solutions. This role is designed for learning, with new associates working with their team to develop skills and prepare for advancement to Mobile Expert. Successful completion of new employee training is required.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Build proficiency in serving and selling to customers, providing a world-class experience, and building loyalty by:
    • Assisting customers in continuing their shopping journey online, via Customer Care, or in-store.
    • Exploring customer needs and demonstrating the latest technology.
    • Engaging in side-by-side selling to find personalized solutions, including accessories and IoT devices.
    • Approaching customer interactions with integrity, composure, and compassion.
  2. Utilize digital tools effectively during interactions and onboarding to demonstrate:
    • Network coverage and LTE speed in the customer's area.
    • Benefits of T-Mobile plans and services.
    • Complete training on in-store experience, skills, systems, and resources.
    • Maximize shift time by learning about innovations and systems.
  3. Establish relationships and collaborate with other T-Mobile employees to:
    • Own the customer experience and resolve issues seamlessly.
    • Identify and hand off small business leads.
    • Support team initiatives and foster an inclusive environment.
Education
  • High School Diploma/GED (Required)
Work Experience
  • Minimum 6 months of customer service and/or sales experience; retail experience preferred (Required).
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Passionate customer advocate who enjoys connecting and having fun.
  • Competitive drive with success in sales environments.
  • Willingness to learn and share ideas with peers and leaders.
  • Ability to balance customer needs with performance goals.
Licenses and Certifications
  • At least 18 years old.
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
Additional Information

Within the first 90 days, Mobile Associates receive training and are eligible for incentive pay. Upon promotion to Mobile Expert, they can earn an annual incentive target of $18,000, with actual incentives based on performance. All employees earn at least $20/hour including base pay and incentives and are eligible for stock grants.
