Job Overview

Mobile Associates (MA) work as a member of a Retail Team of Experts to bring the T-Mobile brand to life. They are brand ambassadors who build energy and excitement around our products and services. They thrive in a fast-paced environment, where technology innovations, customer needs, and the Retail experience are continuously evolving. They build meaningful connections with customers, uncover their needs, and educate, demonstrate, and recommend device and service solutions. This role is designed for learning, with new associates working with their team to develop skills and prepare for advancement to Mobile Expert. Successful completion of new employee training is required.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Build proficiency in serving and selling to customers, providing a world-class experience and building loyalty by:
    • Assisting customers with their shopping journey across online, Customer Care, and in-store channels.
    • Exploring individual needs and demonstrating technology products in-store.
    • Selling personalized solutions beyond devices and plans, including accessories and IoT devices.
    • Approaching customer interactions with professionalism, integrity, and compassion.
  2. Become skilled with digital tools for interactions and onboarding, demonstrating:
    • Network coverage and speed in the customer’s area.
    • Benefits of T-Mobile plans and services.
    • Knowledge of in-store experience, systems, and resources.
    • Active learning during shifts about wireless innovations.
  3. Establish relationships and collaborate with T-Mobile employees across channels to:
    • Own the customer experience and resolve issues seamlessly.
    • Identify and hand off small business leads.
    • Support team initiatives and foster an inclusive environment.
Education and Work Experience
  • High School Diploma/GED (Required)
  • 6 months of customer service and/or sales experience, retail preferred (Required)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Passionate customer advocate who enjoys connecting with others.
  • Competitive drive and success in a fast-paced sales environment.
  • Willingness to learn and share ideas with peers and leaders.
  • Ability to balance customer needs with performance goals.
Licenses and Certifications
  • At least 18 years old
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.

During the first 90 days, associates receive training and are eligible for incentives. After training, promotion to Mobile Expert offers an annual incentive target of $18,000, with actual incentives based on performance. All employees earn at least $20/hour including incentives and are eligible for stock grants.
