Job summary

Shore United Bank in the Mid-Shore region seeks a Mobile Branch Operations Manager to support multiple branches (Easton, Cambridge, St. Michaels, Denton, and more). The role partners with the Branch Manager to drive branch performance and service excellence.

This full-time, non-exempt position features a rotating schedule, mileage reimbursement, and a comprehensive benefits package. Prior supervisory experience and knowledge of consumer and mortgage loans are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Supports Branch Manager in overseeing daily workflow of the branch.
  • Assists Branch Manager with business development strategies to achieve goals.
  • Provides loan processing for customers per Loan Policy; take applications and answer inquiries.
  • Makes calls to prospective and current customers to enhance relationships.
  • Assists with achieving profit, performance, and customer service goals.
  • Performs duties of Personal Banker or Branch Supervisor as needed.
  • Investigation and resolution of customer problems; ensure needs are met.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor branch facilities and maintenance; address needs.
  • Assist with audits, reports, and cash levels; payroll timekeeping.
  • Lead branch team meetings and huddles; staff development.
  • Manage staff scheduling and branch coverage when Manager is absent.
  • Provide timely, constructive performance evaluations.
  • Communicate policies and updates to staff.
  • Conduct regular team meetings and morning huddles.
  • Complete regulatory training (BSA, CRA, ECOA) on deadlines; support risk management.

Shore United Bank is hiring a Mobile Branch Operations Manager (Mobile Assistant Branch Manager) to join our team. The Mobile Branch Operations Manager is responsible for supporting the overall management and operational effectiveness of the branch by ensuring efficient processes, regulatory compliance, and a high standard of customer service. This role partners with the Branch Manager to drive branch performance, support business development efforts, and provide leadership and guidance to branch staff. Serving as a key link between branch operations, customer service, and employee development, the Mobile Branch Operations Manager helps ensure the branch meets organizational goals while delivering a positive customer experience. The position plays a critical role in maintaining operational excellence, managing risk, and supporting the bank's growth and service objectives.

What You'll Do:

A detailed list of job duties includes (but is not limited to):

  • Supports the Branch Manager in overseeing the daily workflow of the branch.
  • Assists Branch Manager in implementing business development strategies for the branch to achieve goals.
  • Provides loan processing for customers based on loan authority established by Loan Policy; take applications and handle routine inquiries concerning loans, rates, and payment schedules.
  • Makes business development calls to prospective new customers and to current customers to enhance customer relationships.
  • Assists Branch Manager in efforts to reach profit, performance, and customer service goals.
  • Serves as an active member of the branch team by performing all the duties of a Personal Banker, Branch Banking Supervisor, or Branch Banking Specialist as necessary.
  • Provides investigation, analysis, and resolution to customer problems/concerns; assure customer needs are met.
  • Ensures the office is compliant with operating policies, procedures, and outside regulatory requirements.
  • Ensures branch facilities and maintenance needs are addressed.
  • Assists with monitoring branch financial activities, perform audits, reviewing and preparing reports, and managing cash levels for branch.
  • Attends and lead Branch Team huddles and meetings as scheduled.
  • Manages branch operations when the Branch Manager is absent.
  • Prepares and coordinates the scheduling of staff.
  • Monitors, approves, and manages employee timekeeping for payroll.
  • Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations for positions directly supervise.
  • Keeps personnel informed and updated of pertinent policies and procedures.
  • Met one on one with the team on a regular basis to develop and mentor staff.
  • Conducts branch team meetings and morning huddles on a regular basis.
  • Demonstrates compliance awareness by completing all required regulatory and compliance training (e.g., BSA, CRA, ECOA) on or before deadlines, and actively supporting all policies, procedures, and practices that promote risk management, safety, and regulatory adherence.
  • Consistently demonstrates the Company's core values and principles through behaviors, actions, and decisions.
Location:

Your work location will vary based on needs in the local region. This provides the opportunity to support multiple communities while serving as the go-to support for clients. This is a floating position that will work a rotational schedule between branches in the Mid-Shore region based on branch needs. Those branches are in Easton, Cambridge, St. Michaels, Denton, Ridgely, Chester, Chestertown, Stevensville, and Centreville. Mileage reimbursement is provided less your normal commute from your home to the Dover Street Branch in Easton.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
  • Full-time.
  • Non-exempt.
  • Days of Work: Monday-Friday, with rotating Saturdays (Closed Sundays and all Federal Holidays)
Required Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma/GED equivalent.
  • A minimum of three years' experience in a branch role.
  • Working knowledge of consumer and mortgage loans.
  • Strong knowledge of bank products and services.
  • Strong understanding of bank policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrated supervisory experience.
  • Ability to lead, manage, and develop a team.
Work Environment:

This job operates in a branch office setting and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and multifunction printer/scanner/copier devices. In addition to standard office equipment, this role also uses cash and coin counters and, in some cases, a teller cash recycler. The position requires the ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the office or branch environment for extended periods; perform routine office tasks; communicate effectively; interact with customers and team members; and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Frequent use of standard office equipment and extended periods of viewing computer screens and reviewing detailed information are required. The role also requires manual dexterity, the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, bend, stoop, and lift or carry materials, including up to 50 pounds of bulk coin/currency. Compensation:
  • The pay range for this position is $58,656 to $70,000 annually.
  • Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted hiring range based on factors such as relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, licensure requirements and/or skill level, and will be finalized at the time of offer.
