Job summary

SpaceX seeks a Software Engineer, Mobile Apps (Starlink) to build the digital experience for millions of Starlink customers. You will craft web and mobile interfaces to set up Starlink, monitor outages, manage service, and contact support.

The UXSW team delivers frontend and tooling for support, including an LLM-powered chatbot to resolve issues before contact. You will own full-stack development in a fast-moving, space-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, engineering, or STEM with 1+ years full-stack exp or 3+ years without degree.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes production systems.
• Frontend experience with React/Angular or similar JS framework.
• Database experience with PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or similar.
• Experience with version control, CI/CD concepts.
• Performance profiling and optimization expertise.
• Experience with build systems (Make, Bazel/Pants/Buck, Gradle) and package tools (pip, npm).
• Strong attention to detail and ownership mindset.
• Experience with UNIX-like OS and CI/CD tooling.

Responsibilities

• Develop well-architected, responsive, and performant web applications.
• Develop reliable software systems for Starlink.
• Design and implement highly available, fault-tolerant networks at scale.
• Deliver expert-level TypeScript React code for modern browsers.
• Full stack development in a .NET micro-service architecture on Kubernetes.
• Focus on monitoring and alerting to drive data-driven decisions and observability.
• Collaborate with internal partners to drive business outcomes.
• Coordinate with other Starlink teams on architecture, design, and reviews.
• Deep dive into users’ problems to craft efficient solutions.
• Contribute voice in architecture, design, and code reviews.
