About The Role
We seek a Mobile App Growth Manager to drive growth, productivity, and community among our DiagnosUs users. This role will identify acquisition and retention strategies that target and cultivate high-quality annotators, predominantly medical students and professionals, and ensure they are active on our product. This role is equal parts community builder, product strategist, and growth marketer—you’ll drive in-app engagement while executing creative marketing campaigns that attract and retain our target users.
Reporting to the Head of Marketing, you’ll collaborate with Product, Marketing, Customer Success, and Sales teams to identify target users, implement growth initiatives, optimize user experiences, and ensure the app remains a valuable, high-engagement platform.
What You’ll Do
Target Personas and ICPs Identification
- Work with Customer Success, Sales, and Product to develop ICPs and personas for DiagnosUs users, including deep research on their watering holes and community forums. Analyze the current DiagnosUs user base to identify gaps to ensure a diverse and relevant user base.
- Manage key metrics around labeler demographics and expertise.
Community Growth & Retention
- Develop strategies for community engagement and retention, including, but not limited to:
- Sending targeted notifications to encourage participation
- Using in-app messaging, notifications, and promotions to highlight top users and achievements
- Managing and optimizing our DiagnosUs digest monthly newsletter.
- Foster community engagement through Discord, social media, and industry forums.
- Work with the Marketing and Design teams to create compelling social media, blog, and email content.
User Feedback and Analysis
- Gather and analyze user feedback (surveys, interviews, forums) to refine targeting and growth strategies and inform product updates and feature enhancements. Ensure that surveys balance the tradeoff between acquiring key information and minimizing attrition.
- Act as the voice of the DiagnosUs community within the Centaur product team, ensuring user-driven improvements.
- Track, report, and optimize key growth metrics (e.g., User Growth Rate, MAUs, Retention, and Cost per Annotation).
- Leverage analytics tools (Google Analytics, Amplitude) to refine strategies using data-driven insights.
User Acquisition
- Design, execute, and optimize data-driven marketing campaigns to drive app downloads and expand the user community.
- Develop and test creative engagement strategies to attract users, including giveaways, promotions, and referral programs.
- Partner with influencers and content creators, especially on TikTok and Instagram, to drive brand awareness and credibility.

What You Bring
- A user-centric mindset—deeply invested in understanding user behavior and optimizing their experience
- 4+ years of experience in growth marketing, community management, or mobile app optimization
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with product, marketing, and design teams
- Strong analytical skills with experience tracking and optimizing user growth, retention, and engagement metrics
- Hands-on experience managing social media, influencer marketing, and referral campaigns
Nice to Have
- Experience working in healthcare, AI, or medtech startups
- Background in content marketing, UX, or community building
- Graphic design or video editing skills (Adobe, Canva, or similar)
