Position Overview:

The Mobile (Android/Kotlin) and fullstack Java Software Engineer is responsible for producing quality code, participating effectively in the team, and contributing to continuous improvement. This role involves developing Android applications using Kotlin and Java, and supporting other web applications as needed, aligned with Ecommerce Core Operations priorities.

Responsibilities:

1. Build and deliver systems following best practices and architectural guidelines that meet business needs.
2. Participate in analyzing, implementing, and adopting new or modified work methods, processes, and technologies.
3. Analyze and debug existing systems, providing recommendations for improvements.
4. Write technical documentation, including readme files, design documents, APIs, etc.
5. Plan development tasks, prepare time estimates, and monitor project progress using standard project management tools (e.g., Agile/Sprint).
6. Deliver excellent customer service with a sense of urgency and ownership.
7. Assist team members to achieve team objectives.
8. Demonstrate behavioral skills such as teamwork, sound judgment, results orientation, interpersonal skills, effective work management, and leading by example.
9. Participate in Developer Community of Practice.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or 4 years relevant work experience.
• Attention to detail.
• Proven experience coding in Kotlin and Java with Android Studio, deploying Android apps.
• Experience developing Java web applications, using IDEs, build, and release tools.
• Experience with application development on Azure, AWS, or both.
• Understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle.
• Experience working in Scrum or Kanban teams.
• Experience with NodeJS for API development is a plus.
• Experience with Python is a plus.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
• Ability to exchange ideas openly and build on others' ideas.
• Ability to work independently or collaboratively with a positive attitude.
• Strong planning and organizational skills, with a focus on continuous team improvement.
• Commitment to staying current with relevant knowledge and information.

Physical Requirements:

• Typically sitting at a workstation, operating computer devices such as keyboard, mouse, and screen.

Compensation:

The base pay range for this position is $70,600 to $97,100. Factors influencing the salary include experience, skills, performance, internal pay structures, and budget considerations.
