Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Business Analyst for the Fuse Billing Operations team to analyze business trends and build reporting and analytic solutions that drive scalable, data-based decisions across internal systems and external partners.

The role requires strong SQL and Excel expertise and the ability to communicate insights to senior leaders in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with finance operations, product/engineering, accounting, tax, and external partners.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
• 5+ years of Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.) and data visualization tools such as Tableau experience
• 3+ years of business or financial analysis experience
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• Experience with Excel
• Experience with SQL
• Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights
• Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Enable effective decision making by retrieving and aggregating from multiple large data sources and compiling it into a digestible and actionable format
• Solve reconciliation issues by diving-deep into the data and implementing solutions to resolve defects
• Communicate complex analyses and insights at scale to stakeholders and senior business leaders, both verbally and in writing
• Proactively identify, analyze, and solve business problems with focus on understanding root causes and discovering significant forward-looking opportunities
• Create and maintain tools, reports, and analyses which support senior leadership and various teams throughout the organization
