Job summary

Amazon is building the Amazon Connect Engagement Experience, a mobile-first AI-powered solution. You will own the roadmap for the mobile (iOS/Android) and connector platform, guiding design to GA launch while partnering with product, science, and AWS teams.

This role focuses on delivering real-time communications, scalable architecture, and end-to-end customer engagement experiences across mobile and third-party channels.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of engineering team management experience.
• 7+ years working directly within engineering teams.
• 3+ years designing or architecting multi-tier web services.
• 8+ years leading development of multi-tier web services.
• Experience partnering with product or program management teams.

Responsibilities

• Own the roadmap and delivery of the mobile and connector platform from design through GA launch.
• Partner with product and science teams to deliver AI features that simplify business processes.
• Lead, hire, and develop a team of software engineers for native mobile experiences and third-party integrations.
• Drive technical strategy for real-time communication and mobile-first customer engagement experiences.
• Coordinate dependencies with cross-functional teams across AWS and ensure end-to-end solutions.
• Own availability, latency, and quality metrics for services and maintain operational excellence.
• Represent the team in roadmap planning and leadership discussions.
• Balance rapid experimentation with security, compliance and responsible AI development.
