Job summary

Melvin Stone Company, LLC is seeking a full-time Aggregate Plant Maintenance/Operator to operate the plant and maintain equipment, including a front-end loader. The role requires mechanical aptitude and at least one year of experience in aggregates or related environments, with safety as a priority.

The candidate should be able to diagnose and repair plant components, perform routine inspections, and use welding/fabrication skills as needed.

Qualifications

• Mechanical Aptitude: ability to identify, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical systems and equipment.
• Heavy equipment operation: experience operating front-end loaders or similar equipment.
• Welding, fabrication: basic to intermediate welding and fabrication experience.
• Safety awareness: commitment to safe, hazard-free work environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate a front-end loader safely and efficiently to feed material into the aggregate processing plant.
• Perform routine equipment inspections and daily preventative maintenance and safety checks.
• Use basic PLCs for operation and monitoring as required.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair plant equipment including screens, conveyors, crushers, and motors.
