Job summary

AKRS Equipment Solutions is seeking an experienced field service technician to perform complex diagnostics and repairs on agricultural equipment at customer locations. You'll coordinate with the service manager to optimize field scheduling and ensure high-quality customer support.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of service repair experience, strong mechanical/electrical/hydraulic expertise, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience performing service repairs.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in agricultural equipment.
• Proficient computer skills.
• High School Diploma & Associates degree or equivalent experience.
• Valid driver’s license required; forklift certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to service calls in the field.
• Coordinate field-based service schedule with the service manager.
• Communicate with Service Manager, Service Clerk, Sales Representatives, Customers, Field Representatives, DTAC, and other Technicians.
• Generate additional mobile service business through excellent field service.
• Diagnose and repair agricultural equipment including AMS products on location for customers.
• Utilize Service Advisor, submit DTAC Cases, and guide peers on DTAC Case submission.

What You’ll Do:

• Work the majority of the time in the field responding to service calls
• Coordinate with the service manager to manage the field-based service schedule and customer calls
• Clearly communicate with Service Manager, Service Clerk, Sales Representatives, Customers, Field Representatives, DTAC, and other Technicians
• Generate additional mobile service business, supporting the growth of the service business through excellent service and support in the field
• Perform complex diagnostics and repairs on agricultural equipment including both new and existing Ag Management Solutions (AMS) products on location for customers
• Has a strong understanding of how to use Service Advisor, regularly submits well-prepared DTAC Cases, and instructs peers on how to utilize Service Advisor and submit well-prepared DTAC Cases

What You Bring:

• 5+ years of experience performing service repairs
• Ability to work efficiently and in an organized manner to meet deadlines
• Expert knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in the repair of agricultural equipment
• Proficient computer skills
• High School Diploma & Associates degree or equivalent experience required
• Valid driver’s license required and fork lift certification preferred
