Job summary

AKRS Equipment is seeking a skilled field service technician to perform diagnostics and repairs on agricultural equipment, including AMS products, at customer sites. You will collaborate with the service team to optimize scheduling, communicate with customers, and advance service opportunities.

Applicants should have 5+ years of field service experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work in a fast-paced field environment. Training and career growth are highlighted in this role.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience performing field service repairs.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities across mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Proficient computer skills and experience with service software such as Service Advisor.

Responsibilities

• Respond to field service calls and perform diagnostics and repairs on agricultural equipment on site.

What You’ll Do:

• Work the majority of the time in the field responding to service calls
• Coordinate with the service manager to manage the field-based service schedule and customer calls
• Clearly communicate with Service Manager, Service Clerk, Sales Representatives, Customers, Field Representatives, DTAC, and other Technicians
• Generate additional mobile service business, supporting the growth of the service business through excellent service and support in the field
• Perform complex diagnostics and repairs on agricultural equipment including both new and existing Ag Management Solutions (AMS) products on location for customers
• Has a strong understanding of how to use Service Advisor, regularly submits well-prepared DTAC Cases, and instructs peers on how to utilize Service Advisor and submit well-prepared DTAC Cases

What You Bring:

• 5+ years of experience performing service repairs
• Ability to work efficiently and in an organized manner to meet deadlines
• Expert knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in the repair of agricultural equipment
• Proficient computer skills
• High School Diploma & Associates degree or equivalent experience required
• Valid driver’s license required and fork lift certification preferred
