Job summary

YWCA Seattle King Snohomish in Renton, WA is seeking a Mobile Flexible Advocate, Gender Based Violence to support adult survivors through housing, employment, food, and stability services. This onsite role works within the NEXT STEP HOTEL Program to provide trauma-informed, strength-based advocacy and case management.

You will conduct intakes, offer safety planning, and coordinate hotel/motel vouchers, with a focus on survivors facing barriers and systemic inequities.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience with housing/shelter for survivors of gender-based violence.
• Wa Driver's License and ability to travel up to 50% between sites.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and virtual meeting tools.
• Strong advocacy and trauma-informed approach to clients.

Responsibilities

• Process hotel invoices and build relationships with community hotels.
• Advocate for victims and survivors of domestic violence and related crimes.
• Respond to referrals and calls within required time frame.
• Conduct intakes and determine eligibility for support.
• Collect reporting and quarterly narratives using data.
• Develop and maintain relations with community partners.
• Create presentations for partners and offered services.
• Travel between work sites and work independently or in a team.
