Job summary

YWCA Seattle King Snohomish is seeking a Mobile Flexible Advocate, Gender Based Violence, to join our Seattle, WA team. This onsite role supports adult survivors through the NEXT STEP HOTEL program, focusing on housing, employment, food and core needs using trauma-informed, strength-based advocacy.

You will conduct intakes, provide crisis intervention, coordinate services, and help survivors access community resources while maintaining professional boundaries.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience with housing/shelter serving survivors of gender-based violence or related settings.
• Valid WA driver’s license and ability to travel between sites within a day.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Calendar, Teams, Excel).
• Strong advocacy skills and ability to navigate multiple human service systems.

Responsibilities

• Process hotel invoices and maintain relationships with partner hotels.
• Advocate for victims and survivors of domestic violence and related abuses; provide crisis intervention and ongoing case management.
• Respond to referrals within required timeframes and conduct client intakes.
• Collect reporting data and complete quarterly narratives.
• Develop and maintain relationships with community partners and participate in outreach.
• Create presentations for partners and services; engage in community networking to increase access for survivors.
