Job description

• Demonstrate competent operations of equipment
• Perform tasks such as loading material, grading, excavating and leveling materials per specifications
• Perform precise excavating and grading work
• Ability to understand plans and grade stakes to complete tasks per specification
• Works well with others
• Set the pace expected by Foreman

Requirements

• Safety oriented
• Daily maintenance and cleaning of equipment
• Commercial driver’s license preferred (not required)
• Proficient operation of heavy equipment including dozers, excavators, graders, loaders, skid steers, off-road trucks, packers and scrapers
• Basic math skills
• Excavating and grading using GPS and lasers
• Ability to follow procedures and strong attention to detail
• Ability to make decisions and problem solve
• Accept responsibility for actions
• Time management
• Ability to work with a variety of personalities and individuals
• Communicate with Superintendent and co-workers
• Be dependable and trustworthy
• Able to work in Minnesota and North Dakota
