Job summary

The Manufactured & Modular Home Association of Minnesota is seeking a strategic, relationship-focused President & CEO to lead the association, advance the factory-built housing industry, and serve as the primary voice of the industry throughout Minnesota.

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the President & CEO is responsible for the overall management and leadership of MMHA, including strategic planning, membership development, financial oversight, government affairs, educational programming,

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or beyond in a related field.
  • Three or more years of senior leadership experience in an association, nonprofit, government affairs, or related organization.
  • Strong leadership, communication, public speaking, and organizational skills.
  • Financial management and budgeting experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout Minnesota.
  • High ethical standards, professionalism, maintain trust, and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and direction for Association operations and staff.
  • Implement Board-approved policies, programs, and strategic initiatives.
  • Support the Board of Directors, Executive Committee, and Association Committees.
  • Maintain Association records and ensure effective organizational management.
  • Develop and manage the annual budget with the Board and Treasurer.
  • Oversee financial reporting, purchasing, and asset management.
  • Ensure responsible stewardship of Association resources.
  • Oversee independent accounting firm annual Review, sign and file Form 990 and MN Forms.
  • Lead membership recruitment, retention, and engagement efforts.
  • Build strong relationships with members, industry partners, and stakeholders.
  • Promote the value and benefits of MMHA membership.
  • Oversee MMHA's Annual Meetings, conferences, and educational programming.
  • Work with the Education Committee to provide industry training and continuing education opportunities.
  • Maintain required approvals with state regulatory agencies for continuing education programs.
  • Oversee member communications, newsletters, and industry updates.
  • Manage content and updates of two MMHA websites.
  • Serve as the primary spokesperson for the Association.
  • Serve as the primary liaison among the Board, Legislative Committee, contract lobbyists, elected officials, regulators, and industry stakeholders.
  • Manage and direct contract lobbyists and file required lobbyist reports.
  • Monitor and communicate legislative and regulatory issues affecting factory-built housing.
  • Develop and coordinate advocacy initiatives, grassroots campaigns, and legislative testimony.
  • Represent MMHA before legislative committees, regulatory agencies, and industry groups.
  • Maintain strong relationships with Minnesota's congressional delegation, state agencies, and policymakers.
  • Maintain a strong working relationship with the Manufactured Housing Institute (MHI) and collaborate on federal advocacy, regulatory, membership, and industry initiatives impacting Minnesota's manufactured housing industry.
  • Serve as PAC Treasurer and oversee compliance, reporting, fundraising, strategic initiatives, and attend candidate and caucus events.

The Manufactured & Modular Home Association of Minnesota (MMHA) with 300 corporate members, is seeking a strategic, relationship-focused President & CEO to lead the Association, advance the factory-built housing industry, and serve as the primary voice of the industry throughout Minnesota.

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the President & CEO is responsible for the overall management and leadership of MMHA, including strategic planning, membership development, financial oversight, government affairs, educational programming, communications, and industry representation at both the state and national levels.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Administration:
  • Provide leadership and direction for Association operations and staff.
