The MMA Coach is responsible for ensuring a positive customer experience. Coaches deliver great member service, private training, and supplement revenue. The position requires at least one weekend day per week.
Responsibilities
- Deliver private and small group training sessions.
- Encourage member engagement in private training.
- Accurately administer client programs, supplement purchases, measurement tracking, and workout programs.
- Arrive on time and prepared for training appointments.
- Participate in revenue‑generating activities such as complimentary workouts, supplement booths, body fat tables, seminars, and workshops.
- Sell training sessions, execute prospecting strategies, conduct guest tours, and complete sales through the Turn‑Over process.
- Achieve personal monthly revenue objectives and minimum standards for private coaching and supplements.
- Perform starter sessions and prospecting activities.
- Focus on member experience by changing lives through service, science, and sales.
- Represent UFC Gym and its “Train Different” philosophy as a brand ambassador.
- Apply the T.R.A.I.N framework: Timely, Ready, Aware, Inspiring, Noble.
- Conduct safe and effective private MMA training sessions.
- Maintain organization and neat presentation of the fitness floor and training spaces.
- Follow all payment transaction policies, employee handbook guidelines, and schedule agreements.
- Document daily workouts for liability compliance.
Qualifications
- Deep knowledge of private training techniques from assessment to program design.
- Working knowledge of dotFIT program and software.
- Ability to adjust and operate all fitness equipment.
- Familiarity with company policies, safety procedures, and emergency protocols.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a friendly, enthusiastic attitude.
- Customer‑service focus with professional response to guests, members, and staff.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions and communicate clearly.
- Organizational skills to prioritize multiple tasks and maintain records.
- Experience operating office equipment (computers, calculators, fax, photocopyers) and computer proficiency in Word and Excel.
- Capability to plan, set up, and execute weekend shifts.
- Extroverted, self‑motivated, customer‑service minded.
- Ability to maintain meal and rest break periods and clock in/out on all shift times.
- Current CPR/AED certification.
- Certifications from organizations recognized by UFC Gym and/or pro‑am fight background.
- High school diploma or GED (required); 4‑year degree in related field preferred.
- Current DotFIT certification preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of related experience.
- TrustLine certified.
- LiveScan clearance.
- State‑specific certifications may be required.
- Physical requirements: frequent lifting of up to 45+ pounds; ability to stand, squat, bend, reach, spot, and withstand prolonged standing and walking.
