The MLT performs laboratory tests, supports quality control, and ensures accurate reporting of results while upholding safety and regulatory standards. A MT licensure or eligibility is required with a required associate degree.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Medical Laboratory Technician program required.
• CPR for health care providers.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Performs moderate complexity clinical laboratory tests in one or more sections.
• Participates in quality control and quality assurance per CLIA requirements.
• Collects and processes specimens; reports test results.
• Maintains records of patient results and corrective actions as needed.
