Job summary

SWOSU College of Pharmacy is seeking a temporary Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) Instructor for the Spring 2027 semester in the Department of Allied Health Sciences. The instructor will provide traditional instruction in MLT courses and labs under minimal supervision and participate in student management and faculty activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Biology, Chemistry or Allied Health is preferred.
• Certification as Medical Laboratory Technician/Medical Laboratory Scientist is required.
• Clinical laboratory experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop a learning environment with traditional instruction in MLT program courses and labs.
• Plan and prepare course and lab content and curriculum with effective instruction methods.
• Communicate and collaborate with the MLT Program Director and faculty.
• Maintain teaching competency via seminars/workshops for professional development.
• Participate in recruitment, advisement and enrollment management for MLT students.
• Support student activities, including course and career guidance and mentoring.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by program leadership.

Education

Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology / Biology / Chemistry / Allied Health

Master’s degree preferred

Certified as Medical Laboratory Technician / Medical Laboratory Scientist
