Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System is seeking an MLS Technical Specialist UA/Coag for days at Liberty Hospital in Kansas City. The role focuses on accurate, timely coagulation testing, QA/QC, and department coverage in leadership absence.

The candidate will mentor staff, oversee instrument QC, ensure regulatory compliance, and participate in ongoing education and competency development during day shifts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science required; CLIA high complexity testing knowledge.
• MLS or MLT certification within 180 days as applicable.
• Knowledge of quality assurance, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to mentor students, employees, residents and other health care providers.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes patient and control specimens and records results per policy.
• Oversees calibration, maintenance, troubleshooting and QC for instruments.
• Ensures compliance with regulatory and hospital policies; maintains readiness.
• Mentors students and staff; participates in competency training and education.
