Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi seeks an Assistant Clinical Professor and MLS Program Coordinator for the Medical Laboratory Science program. The role is a non-tenure track, 9-month academic appointment located on the Corpus Christi campus.

Faculty are expected to conduct teaching, service, and program improvement activities. The Program Coordinator will oversee accreditation, clinical education, partnerships with healthcare institutions, and recruitment efforts, while ensuring high-quality

Qualifications

• Master's degree in an appropriate field (e.g., science, Medical Laboratory Science, or business administration).
• Current national certification as MLS(ASCP)CM.
• At least three years MLS experience and leadership capability to meet NAACLS qualifications for program directors.
• Ability to teach core Medical Laboratory Science lecture and laboratory courses in microbiology, hematology, immunohematology, and immunology/serology.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate MLS lecture and laboratory courses within area of expertise.
• Provide leadership for curriculum development, student learning, and program assessment.
• Oversee accreditation processes and coordinate clinical education and affiliations.
• Contribute to student recruitment, admissions, and monitoring of program outcomes.
• Foster relationships with healthcare organizations and clinical partners.
