Job summary

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in MLS, completion of an approved internship, and at least 1 year of related experience. Certification by ASCP/AAB/AMT is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of related experience
• National certification preferred (ASCP/AAB/AMT)

Responsibilities

• Evaluate specimens for quality and preanalytical errors.
• Verify results and quality control data for accuracy.
• Perform quality control, maintenance, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Communicate critical results to the patient caregiver.
• Assist in training of new team members and students.
• Maintain infection control and a clean, organized work area.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
