Achievement First Charter School Network is seeking an MLL Teacher-Coordinator in New York to plan and provide English Language Development instruction for students identified as needing ELD support. Qualifications

• Two years of teaching experience preferred with a proven record of high student achievement.
• Bachelor’s degree; GPA of at least 3.0; Master’s degree preferred.
• New York TESOL or Bilingual Education certification.

Responsibilities

• Create a classroom environment that engages students and meets learning objectives.
• Plan and conduct a balanced program of instruction with varied methods.
• Instruct students individually and in groups, adapting for language needs.
• Monitor and assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Support the identification, tracking, and monitoring of MLLs.
• Maintain records and follow required procedures and practices.
• Participate in district and school-based professional development.
• Co‑plans and facilitates MLL‑specific professional development.
• Promote asset-based mindset toward multilingualism and multiculturalism across staff.
