Job summary

CSAT Solutions is seeking an MLB Repair Specialist in Houston to troubleshoot and repair electronic components at the component level. The role requires an Associate degree and 3+ years in electronics repair, with proficiency in test equipment and reading schematics for subassembly functionality.

You will work with production, quality, receiving, inventory and engineering teams to prioritize repairs and ensure quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Associates degree in Electronics, Computer repair or other technical field preferred.
  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience in electronics repair, failure analysis, and diagnosis.
  • Proficiency working with computer.
  • Proficiency in through hole soldering, optical inspection, surface mount technology, and cross sectioning of PCB’s.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics/block diagrams with detailed understanding of computer and subassembly functionality.
  • Experienced in Dye and Pry to evaluate integrity of solder joints, real time X-ray of assemblies, and use of thermal chambers for running specialized tests.
  • Ability to use electronic test equipment (oscilloscopes & multi-meters, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Completes component level trouble shooting (capacitor, resistors, etc.)
  • Tests, troubleshoots and repairs complex system failures as required
  • Performs computer data entry using Microsoft excel and/or internal databases including production systems
  • Follows procedures and diagrams in performing engineering change orders, as required
  • Visual mechanical inspection (VMI) of components and subcomponents
  • Prioritizes repair workload according to schedule demands
  • Interfaces with production, quality, receiving, inventory and engineering teams daily
  • All other duties assigned by supervisor
