Job summary

Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, OH seeks a Medical Laboratory Assistant (MLA) Site Lead to oversee patient care, specimen processing, and laboratory operations. This role serves as the primary contact for customer/patient concerns and communicates follow up to the team.

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience in a similar laboratory, preferred.
• Associate degree with >4 years' experience in a designated testing specialty in a CLIA lab
• Bachelor’s degree with >2 years' experience in a designated testing specialty in a CLIA lab

Responsibilities

• Research, develop, and implement new or improved procedures and instrumentation.
• Perform quality control, quality improvement, regulatory tasks and maintain supply inventory.
• Fulfill CLIA supervisory and technical consultant roles for high/moderate complexity testing.
• Maintain a safe environment and report spills or hazards promptly.
