Scale AI is seeking a Machine Learning Research Intern for Summer 2027 in New York or San Francisco. You will work on deeply technical ML applications and cutting-edge research problems with mentorship from world-class researchers.

Interns own real, published or shipped work and have opportunities to collaborate with leading teams across industry and academia. Ideal candidates are pursuing a BS, MS, or PhD in ML/NLP with a published track record.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in BS, MS, or PhD program with ML/NLP focus, graduating Fall 2027 or Spring 2028.
• Summer 2027 internship start in San Francisco or New York.
• Prior research experience or publications in LLMs, NLP, multimodal models, agents, safety, evaluation or alignment.

Responsibilities

• Work on deeply technical ML applications in production and cutting-edge research problems with mentorship.
• Interns own real, published or shipped work — not side projects and contribute to scalable data pipelines or evaluation research.
