Job summary

Scale AI, Inc. seeks a student to join the Machine Learning Research team for a Summer 2027 internship in San Francisco or New York. You will work on deeply technical ML applications in production and cutting-edge research problems with mentorship from world-class researchers.

Interns own real, published or shipped work, with opportunities to collaborate across industry and academia on frontier models, evaluation, and scalable-data challenges.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a BS/MS/PhD program in ML/CS with expected graduation Fall 2027 or Spring 2028
• Available for a Summer 2027 internship in San Francisco or New York
• Prior research or publications in LLMs, NLP, multimodal models, agents, safety, evaluation, alignment, or related field
• Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages including Python or JavaScript
