Scale AI, Inc. is seeking an intern for the Machine Learning Research team in the San Francisco or New York area. The intern will tackle deeply technical ML applications in production and cutting-edge research problems with mentorship from world-class researchers.

Interns own real, published or shipped work, not side projects. The role focuses on generative AI, reinforcement learning, and evaluation science, with opportunities to collaborate across industry and academia.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a BS, MS, or PhD program with focus on ML, DL, or NLP, graduation date Fall 2027 or Spring 2028.
• Prior research experience or publications on LLMs, NLP, multimodal models, agents, safety, evaluation, alignment, or related field.
